Hi guys. <3
Taking care of natural hair is not for the faint at heart and I must say that yesterday I won an important battle.
With all the spare time I have, I have been doing a lot of research on taking care of my hair. A few days ago I came across a video that discussed dusting/trimming your own ends. Now most women have had experiences at a salon where they entered with intentions on getting a trim, but left with a cut. That being the case and accompanied by my fear of unfamiliar stylists, sometimes I don't trim my ends as often as I should. Since I'm in a foreign country, my only option for trimming all together is Haus of Rae.....
Soooo, I mustered up some courage, bought some 11 euro hair scissors and clipped my own ends!!!!
I wash, conditioned, blow dried my hair, and proceeded to twist my littler heart away for 6 hours..... And after each twist, I snipped. At night I put in 5 flexi rods, in the morning I let the shower's steam work its magic, and then I sprayed it with my olive oil/water/leave-in-conditioner concoction.
Needless to say. I am very proud of myself.
Smooches.
